Simple Pixelmon Map 1.12.2: A Guide to Getting Started

Choosing battle in Pixelmon Map 1.12.2 gives you the option to fight your opponent with a choice of moves. You can opt to fight, use an item from your bag, change Pokémon or run away. The list of possible interactions appears at the bottom of your screen, similar to the original Pokémon games. Sounds easy? Think again! When faced with a speeding Rattata, you'll need more than just basic skills.

If you have multiple Pokémon, use the ↑ and ↓ buttons to move the selector up or down to choose which one to send out. Moving on to battle, challenging a Pokémon or trainer is straightforward: aim at the opponent and throw your Poké Ball to hit them. The default controls allow you to change the information bar size using O. Your chosen Pokémon will appear in its own group tab on the left side of your screen. To begin, a dialog box invites you to choose your starter Pokémon – but don't expect a strange-looking teacher handing it over!
